A charming neighborhood of beautifully crafted homes located in a native pine forest on and near Lincoln Beach, Oregon, Bella Beach has the quaint, atmospheric feeling of an historic coastal village. Garages are set behind their houses, and sidewalks are not to be seen, making strolling the village a casual, relaxed pleasure. Grassy commons areas are natural play areas for families and pets, and inviting spots for just passing time. Most homes feature old-fashioned front porches, inviting guests and residents to spend time watching the Bella world go by. And all are located a very short stroll to 6 miles of uninterrupted, sandy, wild beach. Best of all, Bella Beach is located in one of the most lively, diverse parts of the Oregon Coast. Within a few minutes drive are both fine dining and casual restaurants, art galleries and antique stores, fishing charters and whale watching, world class aquariums and local gathering spots, supermarkets and roadside seafood stands. Going just north from Bella, you will find the small community of Gleneden Beach, home of a well known community theater, Eden Hall, and the Side Door cafe, which both occupy the old Gleneden Brick and Tile Factory building. The Salishan area of boutiques and galleries along with the famous northwest rustic styled Salishan lodge, with its fine dining restaurant and golf course, are destination points for visitors from all over the West Coast. A few miles further north, Lincoln City offers great restaurants and beaches, along with the Tanger factory outlet mall for bargain shoppers, and dozens of antiques stores--great for browsing on rainy days. (There's a casino at the north of town too!) Galleries, gift shops, movie theaters--there's always lots to do and see in Lincoln City! To the south of Bella Beach lies Depoe Bay, a picturesque fishing village on the smallest navigable harbor in the world, where you can shop for souvenirs, stop for chowder, and spend hours just watching waves crash against the rocky shore from the sea wall that runs the length of the town. Depoe Bay even has the distinction of hosting its own resident pod of grey whales who call the Bay home 10 months out of the year. Be sure to pick up salt water taffy and caramel corn--Depoe Bay is famous for them. The real essence of Newport lies off the highway. Turn off towards the west, and modern amenities give way to quaint, charming Nye Beach, with its easy access beach, arty shops and great restaurants and coffee shops. The historic waterfront area is a must see--still a working waterfront, but with galleries, restaurants and--oddly!--a Ripley's Believe it or Not and wax museum! The Newport Aquarium has been rated one of the top 10 in the country, and is a must see. Bella Beach really is in a class of its own! Charm, quiet relaxation and easy beach access, with activities for every interest just minutes away!
